Are you really worried about selling it or do you want to do something special with it and keep it? If someone really wants to buy it they'll pay more than its worth. My bike was a limited factory color before I added the two-tone fenders/panels...I'd been thinking about it for a couple of years and am now really happy that I did it. I'm not worried about resale...I just wanted it to look like 'my' bike.

Go for it and stay with the nostalgic theme...beautiful bike!

I noticed from your profile that you are from Eastern Kentucky, you might want to check out Jimmy Defew from Western Kentucky ( 1ofdefew.com) He is one of the best custom painters, he has painted 2 bikes for my daughter and she loved both of them. I love flames and he is one of the best flame painters in the country.

As much as I like my ghost flames, I don't think they'd be right for your bike. The other posts are right, if you're of a mind to paint it, emphasize the nostalgic theme of you're bikes' lines. Whatever you do' let us know and post pics. We're all such ***** for pics!

I like your barbwire idea. I would think about one of the two tone paint jobs. I like yellow and black but thats me. I also like nose art pinup girls. I like the idea of a pinup girl leaning over with Harley across her butt.
