Does your state require an annual safety or emissions inspection? Do you have to display an inspection sticker on the M/C?

Virginia requires an annual safety inspection ....lights, horn, tire wear, and brake pads. We get a sticker for the bike...month/year.

 

Same in New York, once a year safety. No emissions though. The EPA will probably change all that [:@]

 

Louisiana requires a annual brake tag. Which is a safety inspection. Bikes don't have to display them.

 

North Carolina requires a safety inspection - luckly no emissions.

 

NH requires :state inspection and noise decibel check @2800 rpm ( with a max level of either 106 or 108 dbl..... SE Pro mufflers and rineharts will both pass noise level ..... so I'm told)
and a inspection sticker on the fork leg

Thats coming in Maine to this year I believe. I have SEII exhaust, hope its ok, dont have the stock ones anymore, but as usual theres always someone out there willing to inspect....

 

ky just done away with the emissions test this year and no safety inspection eather

As UltraNC said... We do have the inspection in NC and we do have to display the sticker... There was just a post about the placement of said sticker in the softail forum recently. When I bought my bike it actually had a plate for the sticker... Works out good because they used to but them on the fork and that would look like @$$.
