The black parts of my HD chrome grips are gettng a bit sticky.&nbsp\\; When I rub them with my finger stuff rubs off.&nbsp\\; Can't tell if it the rubber wearing out or maybe just dirty.&nbsp\\; Tried cleaning them with&nbsp\\;soap windex rubbing alcohol but nothing seems to&nbsp\\;work.&nbsp\\; Any ideas?&nbsp\\;

 

I'm leaving this one alone.

You're supposed to wash them?&nbsp\\; &nbsp\\; [8D]&nbsp\\;

 

Put a condom over each one but skip the k-y.

 

The condoms&nbsp\\;I have would flap in wind and fall&nbsp\\;off.

 

Alcohol, and other such chemical cleaning solutions will only cause the rubber to deteriate faster, and, do what you say it's doing.&nbsp\\; Mild soap and water, or special rubber cleaner, should be the&nbsp\\;only thing used.

 

I wonder about Westley's Bleche Wite. It strips the oily stuff from tires and leaves them squeeky. Never tried it on grips. Wal-Mart.
