Blessing of the Bikes

Blessing of the Bikes
A friend of mine asked me if I would be interested in going to a "Blessing of the Bikes" event in my area. Can people attend such events and not have their bikes blessed? I really don't need my bike blessed. Will I be ostracized if I do not participate in the ritual? I just want to have a good time.

RE: Blessing of the Bikes
Normally when we do bike blessings, we have a witch doctor there to put a hex on people's bikes who don't want to be blessed.
har har har, just kiddin'.
It won't be a problem at all. We are doing a blessing of the bikes on the 18th and it's all strictly voluntary. You'll find that the CMA folks are good people and you should have a good time. If they do individual blessings, and they ask you, just say no thanks. If they do a group one, just park off to the side.
Hope you have a good time.

RE: Blessing of the Bikes
Ya gotta watch out for that stuff.
The last feller that tried to bless my bike done burst into flames and then the bike ate him, all crispy like. there werent nothin left but a pair of boots with intake manifold marks on them.
Turns out the boots fit me fine, but whenever I ride the bike with them on I can hear demonic laughter mixed in with the exhaust sound.
