Default Flame Thrower

I was at a show'n shine today at the Cassidy Pub on Vancouver Island. Everyone's watching the bikes as they role in. Well, this beautiful softail rolls in, great paint, lots of chrome. What the f.... as it turns off the road and comes towards the parking area he starts shooting 8 foot flames out the back. Awesome. He built a system using some nitrous parts to inject fuel into the front end of the pipes and sparks it at the rear. Unreal.

Exactly what I said. Wired to his horn (horn is no longer there, apparently he doesn't need it anymore).

I would imagine it's the same as the guy I met today. He tapped into the gas tank and injects fuel into the exhaust at the furthermost point forward on the final run (V&N longshots). At the rear end he has tapped in sparkplugs which ignite the fuel being driven out with the exhaust.

If I still smoked, I would already have one of those flame throwers.

I fairly sure you could use a diesel engine glow plug. We used to use the same technique to preheat inlet air for v12, 1790 cu " tank engines.

Ya think they'd back off when the flames start rolling up over their hood?

GT Roadglide: I remember the AVDS 1790's... preheat system had a hand pump with a push button to light the ignitor.
