can you upgrade to a 103 ci from a 96ci or does it have to be a 110ci and what is the difference in the 103 and the 110

Yes you can go from a 96" to a 103". I'm doing it as we speak and as for the 110" the pistons and cylinders are 4" compared to 3 7/8 for the 103". The heads are slightly different also. But you will have to split the cases to go with the 110" adding $$$.

With the 103 you can reuse your stock cylinders by having them bored. That way you save money on parts. The 110 uses new cylinders and the case will need to be bored so the whole motor is broken down. Basic cost is about two thousand dollars difference.

Before you step into the cost of a 110" you really should look into a complete engine. You can go up to a 131" I believe, and still not have to modify the frame. My RK has a 124" S&S since 2002,it's an incredible bagger motor.Good Luck

Dog is right, doing the 110 is very expensive and besides, you can easily get as much power out of a 103

I have been thinking about a 107" kit. You do not have to split the case, and you have a couple more cubes then the guys that do the 103"

one of my favorite sayings is:
There is no replacement for displacement
