Default Insurance

Insurance is up for renewal. Currently with progressive who have taken care of things quickly when I got the sporty and then the lowrider so I have no complaints. However, nationwide can save me $80 a year for the same coverage Anyone had a claim with either company, and how was it handled?

I'm with Progressive. I had a couple minor claims which were handled quickly. I'm not a fan of Nationwide. Read too many articles of poor claim service. See //www.badfaithinsurance.org/

For the excellent service I've experienced over the years, I'm sticking with Progressive.

Nationwide cancelled my homeowners one time just because they did not have copies of pics of my house on file. Guess who was suppose to take these pics, you guessed it, Nationwide. F---em!

Progressive took good care of me when I crashed. Rates are comparable.

My Dad who's now retired use to own his own insurance agency refered me to Progressive Insurance. He sold for a few different companies. If you can't trust your Dad who can you trust?

Thanks all for the input. Haven't had a claim, but that is the real test. For 80 dollars I think I will stay where I am.

I use Markel. Lot's of favorable things for progressive and would like to go with them for their accessory coverage option. But when I get an on-line quote it is always almost double for the same coverage I have with Markel. Just got one for $1411 per year. Is there a difference between Progressive and Progressive drive?

Progressive and Progressive Drive are the same thing. I have Progressive but receive bill with Progressive Drive on the paperwork. One thing I am amazed at is the difference in amount of premium Progressive and some other companies have depending on what part of the country you are in. For instance my full coverage insurance with Progressive on new 09 Ultra is just under $500 per year.

www.ridewithmcgraw.com I use them for both my bikes. Together they are cheaper than just one was through progressive.
