For sure Swordy! Hell I drive a Nissan Pick up!
They are show cars for the most part, they never see the open road. They all have lisc plate from their era. I think my friend, who loves Olds, is also trying to save certain specimens from extinction! The only time they move is when they go on a trailer to a show or what not!

Really? Not to hijack, but I swapped cars with my daughter this week. I have been driving her 1999 Saturn SC1. The car has 175,000, looks new and runs great. The only thing we have done is an a/c compressor. Original front end parts, alternator, starter clutch.... About 38mpg to boot.
Really I was just thinking what a gem that car has been.
PS Just gave away my 1991 GMC Safari van 312,000 miles. Never opened the engine for any repairs. Gave it to a friend down on his luck, left Detroit to go to a job in DC.

On the 883, if you are going to black out the engine, I'd fat tyre it with red rims and if you have to keep it yellow, repaint the tank with a red logo and red pinstriping on the tank and fenders.
The Standard, I would rake out the front slightly, put a chrome engine kit and add chrome lower sliders. I'd leave the two up seat and add a tall (like 2') custom sissy bar that shoptroll could make.

That all sounds great BUT, Are you prepping the bike for resale?
If so, I wouldn't do squat other than clean it up.
The selling points are that it's a Harley, you get great mileage, it looks great, the price is right, its a great blank canvas, and in case I forgot, its a Harley.
You'll not get dollar per dollar back on your changes.
But if your keepin it..........

Funny you should say that, I here some people actually say the same thing about Harleys? But I’m sure those people are just ignorant.
