Busted Flat Broke, BUT It's GOOD, I Think
Well, preaching to the choir here, but, the economy has sukt up here for a couple of years. (Home build/remodel)
Been saving a few bucks here and there, trying to stash enough funds, to pull the motor on the 'new' shovelhead, and build a 93" out of it this winter. Plus wanted to go back to rocker clutch, police shifter (hand), floorboards, etc. Well, I was doing really good with this, until last weekend. Then TOOPIDITY took control of my mind, AGAIN! So, now instead of a 'new' 93" shovelhead motor and a 5 spd in a 4 case, this is what I got for my $5000, with a little change left over, DAMMT li'l. Hope she likes it. (Christmas is her's this year, I got the FLH last) But I are one sneaky sum beach. I have had her looking at Sportys for weeks and weeks, but she thinks we are broke. (Come to think of it, WE ARE  ) So she really has no clue, ......... about the scoot, either. (OOPS, did I type that?) Anywho, my 'original goal was to buy an ol' Ironhead, and build a white Nightster out of it, with red and blue pinstriping, etc. Obviously, a runnin' mate for the Cap'n. But when I stumbled acrossed this, I would have a hard time buying just a Hugger for this $$. Let alone, tear one down, and build it. Talked with the 'owner' (lady) this morning (she is selling it thru a friend ) and she says the actual miles are, READY, 2217. So, whatcha all think of Momma's new ride? It's a mate to the FLH. :) :) Here's the ad. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/mcy/914721885.html Here's the scoot. http://images.craigslist.org/1131fb1...18dc5414a5.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/1121481...5e96851bb1.jpg Well? Did I git a good deal? OR WHAT!!!! YAHOO!!!!! Momma's ASS on some REAL CLASS. :) :) :) BUT gots to git rid of those yellow DOT road construction lights the MoCo mounted on the front end and back fender. YUK!!!! And NOW for the opinion part of this post. IYMRAHO (In Your Much Respected And Humble Opinion ) Should the FLH be painted to match the Sissy Scoot (Hi Schu ;) ;)), or vice versa? If I recall correctly, this red and black is from the 40's. And NO, pink is NOT an option, Gurlz. :) Course, this whole Sportster thing, is just a smoke screen, so that I can spend like a drunken sailor on the FLH. Did buy 2 chrome spoke wheels and a high torque starter for the FLH last weekend. Glad Momma doesn't post here. HEHEHE |
Real nice deal she is going to be very happy.

Once she gets over the joy seeing her new bike she'll get to thinking and realize that you've been hiding money from her And then she's gonna be pissed and lose trust in you. Believe it.
