Here's YOUR Harley's Heritage (GREAT Pics)

I have had this website saved on the puter for a long, long time. So long, forgot I even had it.
WOW!!! This is a GREAT site. Covers Harley, from 1905 into the mid 70's.
Just phenominal pics. NO reading, just pics. So take a stroll over there. Save it to your Favs, cause you won't cover it all in one evening.

Here's just a few I pasted here, to hopefully entice ya to take a gander at the VAST heritage, and the on going legacy, of our rides, and prides, and for some, their 'brides'.

And here is about as close as one could get, to my 'first' Harley. This is a '50, mine was a '52. Mine likewise, was black and white, but painted like the Honolulu PD bikes. It was a 'retired' HPD Servi. I restored it in 70's at Pearl Harbor Sub base. Rode it for about 3 or 4 months. Guy came into bike shop, wanted to know if it was for sale. "Nah, just got it done." Well, turns out he is a retired Honolulu LEO, and that was his Servi when he rode in uniform. He paid me a really good price, and I ordered my first and only store bought "new" Harley, a '76 XLCH. White with redwhite blue #1, like the 71 FX had. '76 was the Bicentennial.

Guess now I know why I like that website. When I see some of those pics, it really drags up the good ol' memories. Anyone else??

The 'idea' and bike that literally revived HD. Willie G's concoction of FLH and Sportster. It worked, and quite well, evidentally. How many variations of an FX are there, anyway?

And the boattail taillight? Well, of course, it's the tail light from a 1965 Chevrolet Impala/Bel-Air.
The mowsheen jus' screams FAST with that 'boattail' fender, huh??
