Kind of what I visualized... Now we gotta worry about the man purse matching the doo-rag, matching the fingerless gloves, carrying the syn oil, etc.

I would think any store with a womens dept. would have all kind of shoulder bags they are called purses by most people. don't like saddle bags myself but is you have to take stuff they can be slid on real easy (easy brackets)

It's a purse. Go with saddlebags.

Nothing wrong with shoulder bags. I ride with a Chrome messenger bag all the time. Great for all my bikes (bicycles and motorcycles). SUper comfortable, no stiff neck/back, they stay put on my back, are really weatherproof, and tough as nails. The strap is quick and easy to adjust with one hand, and that seat-belt-buckle thing is pretty cool.

Chrome messenger bags

The only people I see around here using backpacks and shoulder bags are the kids on crotch rockets...we refer to them as "broke back bikers."

Someone once wrote that "A Rose by any other name,is still a Rose."

I can't dig up a copy right this minute, but I seem to recall seeing a backpack with armor plates in Cycle World.

Nothing says "manly" like plate armor. ;)

But seriously - saddlebags are good but not necessarily big enough. I have a pair of LeatherLyke bags that won't fit my laptop. I ended up buying one of these.
