Default Seat Pads: Opinions on Gel, Sheepskin or Air?

Tell me what ya' think. I'm trying to decide which one I'd like to try on our long summer ride.

I'd suggest taking off the solo rack and putting a seat on the back. I know that makes my wife happier

I sent three seats out to http://www.americanasoftseats.com/ and had the gel pad and memory foam installed. Some of the best money I have spent on the bike!

For a long hot summer ride, I would go with the sheep skin. Pick a pretty one so other rural bikers won't laugh at you.

Air ride cop seat, butt if your riding 2 up, everytime you float through a bump in the road you'll get a WHACK in the back of the head followed by a "why isn't my seat air ride !!!"

I have a full sheepskin to cover both front and rear seats. Cool in summer and warm in winter. I can pull the front edge back to keep the jewels warm on a frosty day, being that there is the gap in the chaps!

Definitely sheepskin. Warm in winter and cool in summer. Very comfortable.

It depends upon how long you are going to be in the saddle.
If it is just for a ride around town the sheep skin is what I use. If it is going to be a longer ride, I use both. But the Gel under the sheep skin and away I go.
