Default Question: Carb or Injected?

What would you rather own, a carb or injected motorcycle and why?

I love to wrench a bike and was always of fan of carbs, When I bought my 05 Deluxe the only one they had in BLK & Wht was injected. I was hesitant, but impatient so I took the FI. Gotta say I absolutely love it. Dependable, starts right up.

I have had both, and would never trade in my injection over a carb on my riding bike. If I had a cool bar hopper it might be different, but for my main rider, it will always be injection

For me it has always been a carb, the single biggest reason is tunability. It is so much less expensive when building your own machines.Love the idle of a carbed motor.Despite all you hear a carbed motor with a decent tune is very hard to beat!Good Luck

f.i. stock injection can't be beat . as for performance f.i. is far superior. however it is more expensive to tune and requires more expertise. the big advantage to FI is it can be tuned for optimum performance under all conditions without the compromises required with a carb. I.E. a F.I. capable of supporting high H.P. and high r.p.m. will still start and idle and deliver milage like a stocker. that just is'nt possible with a carb.

A carb is the way to go for race applications. For everything else, nothing beats EFI.

Fuel injection is good, but I'd like to put a carb on my 07,however ,it would cost as much as it did when I put the new pipes ,PC,and dyno tune on the bike!!! Times are tough right now and ridin' season is coming.Maybe next year I'll try for an S+S,Mikuni,or even a SE CV carb. We'll see.
