heading to lubbock tomm for a 6 day vacation. friend of mine is gettin married (biker wedding she is wearing white leathers)over there so we all riding got 6 bikes and one chase vehicle with camper. looking forward to the road and see how all these mods hold up. anyone near lubbock let me know of any warning i need to know bout.

As SMOKEin said above, definitely keep the weather radio handy. Hail storms can be sudden, fierce and devastating this time of year. We had a quick one come through the Dallas area Monday night and one car dealer had over a million dollars in damage. All in all the long range forecast looks generally good though so you should have a good trip.

Also keep your eyes open for Texas State troopers on I-20 if you’re coming that way. The last two weekends they seemed to be out in full force. Although I averaged about 80 on my way to and from Shreveport for the rally I did have to get on the brakes a few times simply by watching the traffic well ahead and taking a cue from their brake lights. Several times sure enough there was the trooper with his radar gun out.

Dallas area 25 mph sustained with gusts to 35 mph from South

West Texas 20-30 SW sustained this afternoon...........Then it gets windy tonight with gusts OVER 50 mph from NW.

 

Lubbock sucks. The people suck, the weather sucks... its depressing. Never go there. Never think about going there. Never be friends with anyone from there.

It has some of the finest beaches in the world.

Only problem is it's 500 miles to the water.
