Default EZ Pass transponder in fork bag?

Hey,

My ride tomorrow is going to take me through a toll. I'm not looking for a handlebar mount or anything for my EZ Pass, so I was wondering if anyone ever just left it in a fork bag for the ride.

Seems to me that some leather would not block the signal at all, and it will be secure in there, so why not?

Anyone ever do it this way? Did it work?

Thanks

I called and inquired, Florida portable transponder will work in the saddlebag if I didn't want to place the sticker on the bike. Have no idea how it works up there, call them.

In Florida we can register all vehicle tags online to the same transponder. You never have to carry the transponder again, and, there is the added bonus that you don't always get charged on the motorcycle.

It'll work anywhere you want to carry it. If it'll work from inside of an automobile.....................!

Same here, mine always works when I ride solo, most times when two up. No biggie if it doesn't work, I just send the post card back wirpth my info and it is charged to my prepaid account.

I have a NJ EZPass in a leather bag attached to my windshield on my RK. It works every time.

Default EZ Pass transponder in fork bag?

My NH transponder failed to work in my tank pouch or attached to the inside of me saddlebag lid. Seems fine so far inside my windshield bag though.
