Selling someone else bike?

I want to know if it possible selling friend's bike in usa (without let him coming)

I want to sell bike in LA that belong to someone live in NY without make him coming.

Is it possible?
What papers I need to bring with me (from him?)

The reason I ask is because I don't live in USA and I'm not sure how the birocraty of such things "working there"?

Your friend, the SELLER, will need to make a Special Power of Attorney to authorize you as his agent to complete the sale and all other tasks associated with it.

That varies, state to state. Hear in Pa, title transfers are conducted by private notary publics, In Maryland, you go to the DMV, get a number and............................................... .................................................. .................................................. ...........................wait.

Better have all of your paper work in order, cus if not, you have to go to another station, get a number and .................................................. .................wait.

It can get pretty complicated.

Maybe instead of asking here on the internet, you give the DMV in New York a call, that way you know for sure what you need to do.

I asked question from a reason. I don't know the low in the USA and I don't want to do nothing illegal. Anyway I'm asking for a reason and not just to wake up this forum.
