211 Cam versus 255 Cam
Hello everybody,
Just joined the HDForum! I am looking to get some opinions for upgrade of power and torque. I have a 2008 Streetglide with Rinehart exhausts and a Screamin Eagle race tuner. This is the only modifications I have done. I ride with a couple of guys who just completed some mods on their bikes. One has '08 Ultra that installed Stage II with 255 cam, the other has 02' Road King that only went with 211 cam. Rode with them this weekend, and it was hard to keep up when they hit them out the hole!! The Road King with the 211 cam to me had a better "hit" than the Ultra with the Stage II when idling and riding. I am looking for something that will give me the better "hit tune" and also more power and torque. Looking for all suggestions and comments for just a 211 cam or going with Stage II with 255 cam. Will I be satisfied with just cam?

The 211 in a 96 CI is wicked good as you already found out. I am making 95HP and 105 Torque with mine at 90ABSL. I pulled away from a 103 SE255 bike a full bike length up to 85MPH two weeks ago coming out of Laughlin. For money spent the 211 in a 96 is a good bang for the buck.

211 Cam versus 255 Cam
Thanks Donny! I just talked to my friend with the Stage II with the 255 cam, and he is so upset because he couldn't manage to out do the Road King with the 211 cam, he took his bike in today and is changing his 255 cam to the 211! That sounds pretty good to me with just the 211 cam. I think I will be more than happy!!!

PM me when after you get it done, would love to know your results. For your friend with the 103, I would go to the SE253. I think that would be a wicked cam with a 103 and some head work. But the nothing wrong with the 211 either in a 103. I think the 255 is a pooper myself...... But most for some reason seem satisfied with that combo.

211 Cam WELL WORTH IT!!!
Hey Guys,
Took bike to Harley dealership last Thursday for the 211 cam install! Boy, I am glad I made the decision!! After a couple of hours of dyno after the install, I ended up with 95 HP, 99 TQ!! I started at 72 HP and 85 TQ. The best kick is between 3000-4000 rpm. It is a VERY NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE!!

Cam
No problem-will scan an add to forum. That is with stock heads. When I bought the bike, had Rhinehart exhausts put on with Big Sucker air kit and a screamin eagle race tuner. That probably got me the 72 HP and 85 TQ. I only added the 211 cam and got the 95 HP and 99 TQ.
