Default help with wiring

i posted this in the sporty section with no luck, so i thought i might try in here. Heres my problem.

Ordered a headlight from bikers choice...its a oem replica. I for the life of me cant get this thing wired...or ive got problems else where. Three wires from the headlight, blue, white, black. Three from the bike...yellow, black, white. The black wire from the headlight is just a ground wire and is ground to the inside of the housing. the white and blue screw into the housing where you can connect the wires from the bike from the outside, and screw them down....cant get it to work at all. Im not an electrition at all...cant stand wiring...so help would be much appreciated.

Are you getting any juice? Do you have something to test for juice? Is it grounded when your testing it?

Fuse is a good place to start. Did you disconnect the battery before you started working on it? Take out the Maxi Fuse? Does the bike have juice anywhere else?

yes, disconnected it to charge it. What is the maxxi fuse? The bike has juice everywhere else...speedo, all my lights work, turn signals...etc...

Maxi Fuse is what the manual always says to remove first, so if you didn't have juice anywhere you might not have put it back.

So the headlight is grounded/mounted to the bike when your trying it? If you've got no juice and its just in your headlight check your fuses first and trace your wires back. Not sure if you needed to cut them or if you just repinned them in the connector but that would be another place to check.

Check your Main fuse, you may have blown that one. It's a 40 amp I believe, maybe a 30 on yours not sure. As far as wiring, Black is ground, White on White and Blue on Yellow. You'll be able to see your results once you turn on your low and high beams.
