Burying another "invisible" biker
Sadly, I will be participating in the funeral of a friend and fellow riding club member this evening.
Struck by a 78 year old man who turned left in front of his bike, Mark Gardner of Fulton N.Y has died.
All the van driver could say was "I didn't see him".
If we had any more lights on our bikes I swear the navy would want to land planes on our gas tanks, yet 7 of 10 bike/car collisions are the "left turn in front of" variety.
Does anyone else see this excuse getting old?......what can we do about it, aside from increased scrutiny of oncoming traffic?
How about a DRIVER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN?!
R.I.P Mark....you will be missed by friends, family and fellow members of The Star Society Riding Club

RE: Burying another "invisible" biker
Sorry for your loss....
Maybe hit up your local newspaper on doing an article for May is motorcycle awareness month, and could include mentioning your friend.
Makes us all realize how short life is and to enjoy it while we are here.
