Low Dome Racing Helmets

Anyone know who makes a good example of these (DOT or otherwise). The only company I could find is Davida, but $375 is way too much for me to even consider for anything other than a full face helmet.

I got my helmet at www.jafrum.com - Super Cheap DOT approved helmets. The vega series is close to what your looking for.

Actually, I found the exact one that I was looking for (I saw someone wearing one today on the road, which sparked the interest initially). It is the HCI 50, which, while DOT, appears to have been recalled due to failing in testing.

I have one and I never heard of any recall. One of the guys in the club sells helmets and told me that HCI discontinued it due to low sales here in the US. I know a few months ago if you searched around you could still find some for sale, so there could not be a recall. They sold well in Europe, scooter riders as well as some Brit bike riders like them. All I care about is that it has a DOT sticker and makes me legal on my SB scooter.
I ran across these http://retrobikegear.com/quotpudding...e-helmets.html but neither these or the Davida are DOT. www.retrobikegear.com has some real cool helmets!

Thanks for the heads up, I appreciate it! Some people are just full of it. It is crazy that vendors would still sell them, no ethics in anything any more, only $$$$. And why does HCI not post this on their website? Still, in my opinion it is safer than my novelty and it has a DOT sticker. I just can't find a helmet that does not make me look like a rolling mushroom. :icon_shrug:
I bought a Advanced Carbon Composites one and I could just peel it off my head.
