I just got the Stage 1 done one my 05 road king. When cruising I notice that the air cleaner cover is making a a very rapid rattling noise. Its vibrating. When I put my right knee against it, it stops and I can't hear it anymore. I suppose I'll go in an tighten it. Seems like an easy fix. Just sux that it took 2 weeks and $XX.XX and I end up doing it myself. Anyone ever seen this before? Hell, maybe its normal.

 

The air cleaner mounts to three long studs that screw into the carb face and the cover bolts to the air cleaner with the center screw. If those long studs are loose the whole assembly will vibrate. Locktite is your friend on those studs. Not on the small screws that hold the air cleaner in place. Those little basta**s are too hard to get out already. If it was just installed I would look real close at the threaded end of the studs and make sure they aren't screwed up from being crossed. Or take it back and make the dealer fix it.[>:]
