If you believe in waiting to the last minute, yeah. The stickers for a given year are generally available in late February or early March, so there's a reasonable window to get inspected.

I'm told that most riders in the state cancel their insurance in the cold months, and here cancelling insurance automatically un-registers your vehicle (registry and insurance company computers are cross-linked.) If you like to get a late start in the Spring, you'd have to get a new registration which gets you a two-week grace period to get inspected. (I ride year-round, so just get it done in March.)

The Mass. inspection sticker goes on the license plate and is color-coded, so I think the cops would notice if you skipped it.

Depends on where you go for the sticker. Some places could be hour or so, small town garages may be 5 - 10 min wait.

Get outa there as soon as you can!

Maybe that’s the Gov’s way of raising the 15k he wants to give to Harley to keep the York, PA plant open?

I never knew about that law and my GF works for Penndot! She didn't know either. I guess I lucked out in buying my Sporty in August and my Fat Bob in October...both bikes had an annual sticker on them. I took my Vespa to an oldtime flat tracker who has a Harley shop-he just takes your information and puts a sticker on your bike-he doesn't inspect anything. I call it "lick and stick" LOL I'll be taking my H-Ds to him too..come to think of it the Sporty is due by the end of the month.

Interesting reading here! I was born & raised in PA, and never left. Actually, still live in the town in which I was born & raised. I love it where I am. Even though we have a tax-and-spend Dem in Harrisburg, never thought it a ****-type state, nor ever had a problem with MC or my car inspections. I get my bike inspected at one of these independent used junker car lots with a garage & AAA towing. Maybe I've just been lucky? Work Privilege tax --- $10 a year! I'll admit, it's kind of a stupid tax, but it won't make me move. Just my opinion.
