Where can I get good prescription riding glasses?
 

Wondering if anyone knows of where to go to get quality prescription riding glasses? I just started wearing glasses a few months ago and am sick of debris and wind getting in my eyes when I ride. I also don't want to wear goggles. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks,

I've seen in J & P Cycles where they have some quality sunglasses that take prescriptions. Not sure how you get the lenses filled, but J & P brags on their customer service. So if you call them I'm sure they's fill you in.

I know some optometrists sell Panpoptix and Wiley-X, look around for one. If not you should just be able to send your Rx to someone like Panoptix or Wiley-X and they'd make up the glass. But I'd only go the optometrist route in case there was a problem.

+1 on the Wiley-X I searched FOREVER...and finally got them...best thing I ever did...seeing is such a "good thing". yikes...I find them comfortable, and the RX wraps around...a little tough on the blind spot, but not tearing up while I ride is well worth the extra "look see"...

Best spot that I found (and bought thru) is Sportrx.com- easy to work with staff and carry many different brands (I bought Wiley X) I would buy from them again !!

I went to an optometrist, glad I did. Wiley took three tries to get the glasses right. First they sent the wrong lenses, then the wrong prescription, then the wrong tint. The Doctor loaned me some frames to fit the first lenses until they got it right. I do have to say that after they finally got it done, I have been very happy with them. I would not have enjoyed that evolution online.

I bought some riding glasses from my indy and took them to one of those 1 hour places and they made them for me. Not in an hour but you know.... My puple distance was close which made it hard for them. That's why I wanted to stay away from mail order glasses. Check around your area.

I just used a pair of rayban wraparounds (Predator 8)....took em in to my optomitrist and had them put a set of plastic presription lenses in. They work perfect and the total cost was under $200 ($80 for the frames and about $120 for the lenses).....you could do the same with the WileyX or Panoptix frames I'm sure.

Riderseye seems to be pretty good as well.
