I bought my first pair of chaps in December from the Jafrum site for $100. The leather is thick and soft, the primary zippers on the legs are heavy duty YKK. Snaps from the calves down. Has a nice insulated liner that zips out. Really comfortable. Have kept my legs warm down to 40 degrees. Certain they would work well way below that, but my hands freeze at 39. Worn them a half dozen times.
2 things I despise about them. 1) the buckle on the belt is garbage. The piece of metal (whatever it's called) that goes thru the chosen hole of the belt is too short and flimsy. Need to get a new buckle.
2) Just saw that they were made in pakistan.
The rest, I like.
