More than one reason why those who ride in certain "Groups" wear a FF helmet.....

Ain't no California thing. Those who ride in certain "Groups" here do the same thing, and we're not a helmet State....

A 45 year old helmet is a head ornament, and nothing else, at best. Material and adhesive degradation from heat, hair oil, etc. is a real thing, and so are advancements in materials and design. You are already wearing a FF, and changing one every 5-7 years is not a huge inconvenience, is it?

No doubt. Just addressing a particular generalization from a local perspective.

Full face all day. Had a friend rip half of his face off while rocking a 1/2 lid, lived tho. I ride with a biltwell lane splitter. Wife got it for me for my birthday, fits like a glove. Never had a single person say a word to me about wearing a FF while riding a harley. Honestly, who would? You give someone **** for no reason other than wearing a FF while riding a harley, you can risk getting clocked or whatever. I just prefer to keep safe and my face and mental capacity in working order. To each their own.

Most helmets are head ornaments.

In his defence he did say most. He means FF are the best and the rest are ornaments

If your riding "buddies" are repeatedly trying to grind their faces off, you need to seriously question your selection of "buddies".
Sounds like the problem is you.

I give the guy's I ride with hard time over anything I can find and if they change because of it, I'll give them a hard time about that. If you don't know who you are, stay the hell away from me. If you do, own it and we'll laugh and have a great time. Someone that bucks up over a good natured ribbing ain't gonna make it long in my circle.
