biker or bike owner

Who here has only had a bike as their only source of transprotation with no cage in the family for at least a full year one time in their life.

All 4 seasons.

Having a bike and living with your wife or parents does not count.

In restrospect I should have perhaps titled the thread, " No choice but to bike*

I was not by any means implying a lesser degree of heart for anyone who does take the easier/warmer route from time to time.

I was just thinking back to the time *30 years ago* that I only had a scooter for a 2 year cycle.

Now I also have a pick-up in addition to 3 scooters.

Getting folks stired up or pointing fingers was not my intention, sorry for the poor choice of title.

Well your question is a good one, but I think the Subject Title is going to bite you in the ass. ;) Just my 2¢.

I have only had a bike for the last two years. So, what does that mean? I'm too broke right now to have two vehicles. Nothing else.

I'm a Soldier. I have gear. I have a Ford F-150 and a Harley...

I guess I'm not a biker, just a bike owner. My self esteem is shot... oh wo is me... someone coddle my balls and ego please.

That's your definition of a biker??! When I was 19 and too stupid to realize having a bike as my ONLY means of transportation was a bad idea, I fit your definition. After that lovely 2 years I started using more than one brain cell at a time and become a "bike owner".

Back when I was in college and the first 2 years I was in the Air Force all I had was my bike, but a biker is not how I thought about myself then or now.

Me. But living in Fl. made that the easy.

You don't have a biker here either. I happen to have a truck and a minivan as well.
