5 piece Dowco Iron Rider luggage set for $150. She 2 pieces of it once (everything was still rubber banded and in the plastic) and decided to get a BMW adventure bike. A week later she calls and said she couldn't find the spare key to her bike and asked me to check the pouch on the main bag. I find the original receipt for almost $600, her spare cash stash of $50 and the extra key. The good guy I am I told her she left her emergancy fund in the bag and she actually told me to keep it.

My best ever Craigslist deal was my brand new 2009 RKC, Two tone, abs, cruise. A non-rider won it in a raffle & was selling it. He never even picked it up from the dealer. I offered him 16k for it & he took it! Best part, no sales tax as it was technically a used bike, no dealer prep. It cost me $150 for license & title. It had 9 miles on the clock when I went up a week later with a trailer & brought it home. There are some great deals out there if you search long enough.

Got my (our) '08 FLHTCU w/ 5200 miles on it LOADED (abs/rider backrest/SE air filter/luggage rack) for $16k even in May of this year. No tax, just tag n title. But I think Lures got as good a deal as I did

I got a hell of a deal on a Gibson Les Paul guitar. Haven't purchased any motorcycle parts.

When I bought my 2002 Roadking with 9,000 miles on it, it needed new tires. The very next day I found an add on the local Craigs list for a brand new set of chromed Harley spoked wheels with new wide whites and new snowflake rotors installed and ready to mount for $500.00 The guy showed me the Harley receipt for $1600 that he had paid for them. Said he decided to go with mags after he bought these.

Sounds like Craigslist could be a lot of fun.

That's great! There are so many scams on there, glad you found a deal.

I check the motorcycle section every day in the Boston area for deals like this. Haven't come with anything close. That may be the best deal I've seen yet. Hope something like that shows up when I'm ready to get a bigger bike.
