So you've come back to riding, How long gone....
 

Just wondering. How long were you gone from riding and then started again?

I'll start. 35 years...now I can't get enough of it!! Bike when I left was a 650 Triumph chopper, when I came back a C50 Suzuki for two years and now an 08 EGC. I never knew what I was missing!! 46k in 4 years.

18 years.... to long of a break... my guess is that I wont stop now...

I was off from '72 to '78. ...........Not all that long really!:)

High School-16/Thru late 20s....Stopped because of sex ,drugs,R+R and glad i did or i wouldn't be here today..... started back at 48...4 years ago and going strong....I said to the wife...i'm thinking about getting a bike again.... Her first words were.....GREAT but not a Harley till you get your wings back...1 year on a Honda 1100 shadow...now 3 years on my 04 flht.....Ain't lookin back.....But i do fly with an Angel....Wouldn't of made it this long without one.... God bless her!!!!..Angel that is...wife ain't to shabby either.LOL....

I'm 41 and just been back into riding since Oct 08. Got my first street bike when I was 16 and rode for only a few months. I knew even as a teenager that if I didn't get rid of it that I would soon get killed as I couldn't keep it slowed down. Had the fever for about 8 yrs on and off and finally bought a bike and love it!

34 years. Had 3 HDs from 1960-74 when I sold my XLCH. Bought the FXDBI in '08.

Took a 8 year break to go road racing with a Porsche.(last bike was a Triumph Daytona 595. Bought the wife a 150cc scooter 3 years ago to buzz around the city. One Friday night we decide to take the scooter to a local outdoor watering hole. We pull up and sit down and the wife looks at me and says, you cant ride this scoot any more, you need a real bike...
2 weeks later I had a V Rod, 1.5 years after modifying the Rod so much she did not like to ride on the back, a Ultra was added to the stable. I am a lucky man!

Since I was 9 yrs old. I have had maybe 5 summers spread out without a bike, and a little less than three years in a row back from 2001 to 2003. So I can't say I have been without really at all. My Harley was my "reward" for quitting drinking. I put a measley 25,000 miles on it over the time I have had it.
And my FLHX has been on my wish list since I rented an 07 FLHX out in Tucson, AZ while on a Guard trip back in 07. I'll keep riding, even after I need a Trike because I can't hold up a dresser! LOL

24 years without a bike will pick my lady later this week

Got my first bike at 18. So I guess I went 18 years without. Have had at least 1 bike since. Couldn't live without one. I did go about 2 months without a streetbike last summer after I sold the old one and was looking for a FLTRX in black denim.
