Black is why I chose the Night Train over the standard, I just ordered the chrome engine package from M&M cycles. I perfer black and chrome, seems to stand out more.
It is a matter of preference and price! I prefer black. If you look at the replacement cost of a silver TC88 over a Black TC88, you will notice that the black cost more. I agree with above post, silver is entry level (priced) bikes, black is for the high end cruisers.
My 06 1200 custom has black powder coat on some parts of the engine, the rest is bright and shiny chrome. I have bought a couple of bolt on pieces that will cover up the black powder coat, (yep, there chrome). The black is harder for me to clean. I have better luck with the chrome. but hey, buy what you like !
