Arrow Music to ride to...

I have been fine-tuning my "Motorcycle Playlist" lately, and decided to go ahead and post it here so that those of you who are interested, might benefit from having a fairly comprehensive list in one place. I already had a bunch of these songs already, but several were added after reading some threads here on this forum.

Most of these songs can be downloaded through iTunes or Amazon.com. Unfortunately, there are certain artists and/or songs that aren't available for download, so unless I already had the CD, it's probably not here. For instance, I really would like to have some Kid Rock, but darn it, I don't want to buy a CD for a couple of songs! EDIT: Got some Kid Rock "All Summer Long" from forum member "skratch" Tks!!

I have a pretty varied & extensive music library, but for riding, I lean towards 70's rock, Southern rock and a bit of Country thrown in here and there. This list may not appeal to everyone, but if this type of music floats your boat, then by all means, check it out!

Hey Monstead, Looks similar to mine, I mix classic rock, a little bit older country than yours and a major heaping helping of blues, i.e. John Lee Hooker, Bo Diddley, Taj Mahal, etc. I only have an I-pod shuffle which only holds about 270 songs though.

I figured there would be many here that love metal, but you're right, it's not my cup o' tea, so there is little metal in the playlist. For this reason, I would guess my list won't appeal to the metal crowd so much.

BTW, the only Metallica song I have in my library of about 8K songs is "Sandman" and I've never even heard of those other bands! Maybe it has something to do with the fact I was born in 1961!

I have a lot of that same stuff that you guys all mentioned. My favorite new band right now is Rise Against. Kind of hard punk, but the guys can actually play their instruments.

I like a good mix. I grew up with classic rock since my dad's pretty young (gonna be 50 this year) and I like a lot of the old stuff. I also like the new rock that's out there. Metal, country (if it's legit country, not that pop crossover crap) and even some very select rap and hip-hop.

Monstead, your playlist would keep me happy for hours. BTW, I wouldn't have guessed '61.

Good playlist there; got much the same taste in music, a good mix up. In looking at some of your choices on the country side, you may like a little local station down here, www.knbtfm.com; they have a "listen live" over the 'net; check it out. And yea, would've never guessed '61 either. Couple things to maybe add to the list, some Lyle Lovett (South Texas Girl and lots of others) and The Heavy (http://www.cbs.com/late_night/late_s..._5uASnrFZKAgkd). If the link works, it's a song they did on the Letterman Show; yea, gotta get through the 30 second spot first, but worth it I think.
