Default Don't have a gremlin bell.

I don't have a gremlin bell. My understanding is that it should be received as a gift for max effect.

I was thinking, we should have a list of others that don't have a bell so one of us might randomly send a bell to another forum member.

So, if you don't have a bell, post here and I will send at least one bell out to someone. Once you have a bell please update your post on this thread to say that you now have one.

My thought is that I don't want to initiate a trade, I just want to randomly send a bell to someone and hopefully someone else would choose to send me a bell as a gift. Maybe others will participate in this.

What do you guys think of this idea?

Don't have one, and never have. I always wanted someone to give me one, as I've heard the same thing about it being given to you instead of buying it for yourself. Oh well, we'll see what happens.

About all those bells are good for is driving a mechanic nutz...My buddy has an indy shop and said more than once he was test riding a customers bike and hearing something making a racket only to find out it was a cheesy trinket bell dinging.

Yeah, you can believe they ward off bad luck if you want to. However, my buddy fixes salvage HD's. He has a drawer full of of bells that came off of crashed bikes...LOL.

I bet those guys bought their own bells. They don't work if you buy them yourself.

My wife bought me a bell the day we were buying my RoadGlide. I never wanted one, but I hung it on my bike to make her happy. It did, I even got a happy dance from her when she heard it ring. LOL

The QOTR did a bell trade (how I got my second bell). I think GeorgiaGirl set it up. Can't remember.

I have NEVER had one, and in over 20 years of riding (not saying it wont happen tomorrow) (knock on wood) I have never had any road gremlins attack me. I honestly believe that if it is meant to be, then no matter what you do, it is gonna happen, bell or no bell!
