I can't find the thread on using a Radio Shack Siren

NEVER MIND, I found it.

I did a search and can't seem to find the thread that was posted a week or so ago about using a Radio Shack siren with the HD security system instead of the HD siren.

Does anyone have that wiring instructions? Thanks!

RE: I can't find the thread on using a Radio Shack Siren

The part number is 273-079 for the Radio Shack Siren and here are the instructions.

The siren from the Shack only has
2 wires (red and black), the bike
has three (brown, green, and black).
Strip about an inch of the
wire on the siren, then fold the
exposed amount in half and twist,
in order to make thicker and more
rigid. Then plug the siren (red) into
the bike (brown) and the siren
(black) into the bike (green).
Be sure and keep the two apart
by insulating with electrical tape.
I then used some flex tube to
protect the remaining exposed
wire.

Tip: When using electrical tape,
after covering desired area, twist
tape so that adhesive side is out.
Then after a couple wraps twist
back again and wrap adhesive side
to adhesive side. This will eliminate
the heat causing the tape to peal up.

Siren should snug up nicely in the
area where the factory one would
have gone.
