I run Amsoil in my tranny...shifts better and I may be just dreaming but I think some of the 5th gear funky noise went away.

I used to run Amsoil Severe Gear Oil in my tranny and liked it. Just got tired of having to order it, so I switched to Mobil 1 75W90 Gear oil for the tranny and it works just fine as well.

yea no one sells it not sure why...

Aren't you afraid that will void your warranty?

I tried it at one of my oil changes, didn't notice much difference, except it made neutral easier to find, I went to using B&M Trick Shift, I don't have that clunk when I first put it in gear anymore

When I changed from dino to Amsoil in all 3 holes, there was a noticeable difference in the feel.

Pretty sure they can not void the warrantee for using Amsoil oil. HD was sued and lost over this issue. :icon_woot: |
Running Amsoil in all 3 holes for years, getting harder and harder to find. Dont understand why? Thought it was just up here in CANADA, THAT IT WAS A PROBLEM TO FIND!!!

I have been using 85/90 wt semi synthetic transmission lube from Rev Tec (custom chrome). It is available at most independent shops. Transmission shifts much smoother and is much quieter. I never really cared for the 20/50 syn 3 or formula. I think they are way too thin for transmissions. Harley-Davidson used to sell the semi synthetic 85/90 weight oil up until a couple of years ago, and I never under stood why they quit, it was very good stuff in my opinion.
