Few Questions About Rush Slip Ons...
I have a 99' Sportster Sport and the stock exhaust just isn't loud enough for me. I would like it to be pretty loud to be honest. I want people to hear me comin' ;-)...
I eventually want to import the bike to Europe (where it will have to pass an inspection, so I am leaning towards slip ons because it will be easy to swap the stock mufflers back on until I pass the inspection and then just swap them back, plus it's easier on the wallet ;-)....)
I am leaning towards Rush Slip Ons in a 2.0" baffle (been doing a lot of reading about if you go with a 2.25" you have to get a lot of extra stuff done and something about back pressure, etc.)
I have only youtube videos to listen to, but do you all think I'll be happy with 2.0" baffles? Or is there something else that would be better, without destroying my wallet, because money is a lil tight lately. I figure I can always upgrade to a 2.25" and do the upgrades if I wasn't happy with a 2.0" and when I had a lil bit of extra money.
Or I'm cool with a different brand like Vance and Hines, etc.
I found this place that has the Rush's on sale for $283 with free shipping. If someone can comment on this company, that'd be great too (I've been having some trouble finding the dern things in stock! Almost everyone is out of them believe it or not)... http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/de...ter&model_id=0
thanks!

Happy with my 2.0" baffled slip-ons on an '09 FXD thus far, good volume while retaining some throatiness. The company has dedicated customer service and there's even a rep on this forum that delves into discussions every so often. A few had complained about discoloration of one of the mufflers and Rush is more than eager to correct the "problem" (if any). In my case, there was no "problem" from a manufacturing/quality standpoint as I figured out it was from my pants contacting the muffler at times when I put my feet down at stops. So my overall opinion of Rush, from my experience, remains very high.

have had the 2'' baffles for three yrs, they set off wifes car alarms idling in the driveway,
I wouldn't want any louder, we wear ear plug in out right ear, they will make U'r ears ring after an 1hr or 2 trip.
overall I think there one of the best sounding pipes

Got mine from fuelmoto as well, along with PC 5 and the K&N filter kit, i.e. the "stage 1" package as I guess it's called. The exhaust gets somewhat louder as you push the mileage up because the fiberglass wrap around the baffles slowly deteriorates.
