Wow, I don't know why Eaglemark is giving some of you such High interest rates, mine was quite low, lower than I expected. They will lower it if you get the extended warrentee. You can always cancell the warrentee, and as long as you do so in the first 2 years (which the factory covers before the extened kicks in) and get a refund for the whole thing, plus keep the lower interset rate.

My roommate has not so good credit and wasn't sure if she could even get one... I told her to try and see what they say....It was no problem....no money down, and she got 9.9 interest rate!

Even with a fica score of 700+ and buying the ex. waranty in May of this year Eaglemark(HD)or the dealer?? would only give me 7.5%.The finance guy started out with 10%!

Plenty of good advice already on this thread I'll just reiterate, check with a credit union. That was the best deal for me. Good luck.

Actually the refund back is prorated. So you will lose some money if you wait. Now if you get the extended warranty, and cancel it a month or two later, that will be minimal. Plus, you have to go in and cancel it through the dealer, which could be a PITA to deal with, especially if you are on good terms with them, it's a good way to reverse that.

This may be a dumb question, but how do you find out what your credit score is?

The last place i'd look for financing would be through harley, there intrest rate is way to high, last year when i bought my bike i checked into it and found my local bank could finance me for less than 1/2 of the intrest rate of what eagle national bank . My bike was a used police electra glide,$8,000 down payment,I have a 845 credit rating ,
eagle national bank = 13.85%,my local bank = 5.65% both on a 4 yr note
Do some shopping around for rates and/or save up abit more on your deposit. good luck ,hope your on the bike soon

your 1 in 1 million people to have better then an 840 credit score

Do a search on Google, you should be able to find a site you can sign up on to get it (or you can go apply for a car, they'll come back with your credit report). I signed up with Credit Expert (www.creditexpert.com), I believe it's free for the first 30 days, with full access to your reports and the simulator (you can adjust it and it was approx your score based on what you add/remove).
