Left leg amputee VET looking for R side shifters

I am a left leg Amputee, I due to being shot by a Sniper on May 13, 1985 while in the U.S. Navy, This resulted in my being 100% disabled.

I rode 1000cc for over 12 years '73' XLH Sportster, Cadillac Silver with a shifter on the the Right/Rear Break on the Left.
My Current Wife loved to ride with me.
The bike had a Heavy duty Suspension with a large King/Queen seat.

Do to very bad divorce with my 1st wife I had to sell it.

I am now looking to buy a newer H-D but, all have Left side shift.

My question =
Is there a way to swap the current positions of the Shifter& Rear Break pedal (due to all are now made like rice burners) Shifter on the Left & Rear Break on the Right?

If at all possible, are there after market parts?

Could you steer me to a company?

Thank You for all your time.

Contact Queens motorcycle shop in Lilly Ky, 606-528-3937. I am not for sure he can help but it doesn't hurt to ask. He is remarkable with his work. As a disabled motorcyclist/mechanic he has been written up in some magazines. He is an authorized Harley Maechanic.

here ya go

if you still want the mechanical shift then try and find the bracketry and cross over linkage from a 74-75 sportster as that was the year they used them to accomodate the left shift mandated by the feds.

i know its challenging to ride with a leg disability. whilei didnt lose mine i had my right leg crushed and as a result of our fabulous healthcare system here the 6 hour wait before a dr realized i had no blood flowing to my lower leg killed all the nerves and muscle control abilitys below the knee.

This is a European site, but you might find something to help. That's where I found out what I'll need (arm amputee) to ride again!

Designing Alternative Shifting Solutions

Hi Steve "Woody",
I was wondering how things worked out with your bike since last year. I am currently working on a project to develop a DIY solution to help left leg amputees. I found this guy that found a way to hop on a standard bike and shift.(first picture)
I decided to improve his design. (second picture) I am making a non-metal version that provides a more concealed look & easy walking. It's really tough to design something like this without feedback or testing. I wanted to know if you had any words of wisdom or comments about what I'm making.

What has been your most successful solution to shifting over the years?
Do you see some flaws in the design right away?
