Anyone have any ideas that will get...what looks like water stains off of this? I've tried a bunch of different things and can't get it off. Anyone else have this problem???
Thanks! |
My wife has the aluminum covers on her Sporster. She simply says keep rubbin.. I say change them out for chrome ones.
BTW, she used Meguiars Motorcycle All-Metal Polish |
Maybe a little diluted vinegar?
|
Try some Maas metal polish.........
|
Not sure what all you've tried... but I had water spots all over my bike due to gettin hit with a sprinkler system, and baking all day in the Texas sun. I used several different products with no success. I finally tried a 50/50 vinegar/water mix... sprayed it on, let it soak for a few minutes, and when I wiped it off the spots were gone for good. Not making any promises, but its worth a shot.

aluminum polish on a polishing wheel

Soak with windex glass spray. You will need to use steel wool, keep the surface SOAKED AND WET. LIGHTLY rub with the steel wool. check as you go.
I can't emphasize enough, the words SOAKED AND WET....AND LIGHTLY. |
Try Mothers Chrome polish, do alittle section at a time. rub it on let sit a few minutes then rub off.
