I'd be thrilled to take one of my daughters (31 and 29) on a ride. They both have kids and are a bit scared so I don't push it.

Inappropriate, why? I think it is great that they have something in common to share.

Nothing wrong with it.

Was she abused at any time when she was young?

I have 3 pups myself, 10/8/6 I love to take them riding whenever I can. I could only see it troubeling if you take them out to long of a ride. I love having my midgets onboard but short distances until they get comfortable works for me. Gotta belive some folks do the dump them in the water and they will swim or drowned, but hey everyone feels diffrent.

I'm curious to know why she thinks it's inappropriate. Is it inappropriate for the girl to give her dad a hug? Would it be inappropriate if dad gave her a ride in the car?

Absolutely nothing wrong with it. I take my 31 year old daughter riding, as well as my 36 year old step-daughter. My wife has her own bike, a Deluxe, and rides her 13 year old grandson behind her. I see nothing wrong with it....
