Dyno and mapping
I ride a 2004 Heritage Classic 88B. I had a stage 1 kit added last year by a dealer. I noticed my fuel mileage dropped 8 to 10 mpg. I have also noticed the rear pipe (Rush pipes) starting to discolor. My wife just bought a 2006 Dyna Super Glide Custom from a couple who both had bikes. I was talking to him about mine and he suggested that I have my bike dyno'd and mapped. That should increase my fuel mileage and it should run better. I'm asking the Harley world to help me out with some answers. Thanks . . .

I had the HD dealer do the Stage 1 setup. I am not fully aware of what all is done with the Stage 1 kit. I know a larger air filter is added and I thought there was an adjustment made to the fuel injection. Like I said in my first post, another Harley suggested to have it mapped. I went from an average of 48 to 50 mpg to 40 mpg after the Stage 1. He said having it mapped would likely add 8 mpg. That's what I know, thanks . . .
