Question Anyone have a SOILD STATE COVERS face shield?

I'm looking for an opinion from anyone who has tried or uses one of the aluminum face shield/mask from solid state covers?

Are the straps comfortable? Does it shift around?

I've got the Black Maul, but I've only worn it a couple of times. Mostly because it's goofy looking. But also because at the bridge of the nose, it has a leather strap, and it irritates my nose. I think it's more to do with vibration and not any sort of chafing or anything. I'm going to try some foam or something to see if it helps. The main straps work great. Once you have it on and adjusted, it stays put, and has snaps to open it up while you're stopped that work well.

Have a Black Maul as well and don't wear it much. Easy to undo the snaps to take a drink or speak but difficult to resnap. It bothered the bridge of my nose as well but I loosened the straps a lot and that seemed to help a bit but I haven't worn it any distance since then. I use a tied bandana instead.

My opinion is if u want to look like a goofy poser this is the ticket. I've seen these b4 and they look ridiculous. It now goes beyond poser gear. With this thing u r just playing dress up and trying to look like a hard ***. Not to mention in an accident it probably cuts your head off or at least cuts your throat.

I'm looking for a better idea for bug protection than the bandana I normally wear. I don't like the neoprene covers and am not to excited about a full face helmet or using my QD wind shield for short tips. It does look awkard but I'm not to concerned about what others think if it does the job well. However, I don't like the fact that it rests on your face, it doesn't appear that it is to comfortable. It needs to sit out about an inch from the face and be rigid mounted to the helmet with some type of hinge. Thanks for the responses

I don't make commits on this kind of stuff as a rule, but come on that is pretty silly. Plus its $80.00, why not just buy a full face helmet.
