I presently wear KD's, have been for the past 3 years. I had no problem finding them online.

From what you're describing, you might be thinking of the old Foster Grants. I had a few pairs back in the day & seriously miss them!

i shouldnt have mentioned KD's as they arent KD's, i just used them as an example. i have several pairs of KDs, but what they call "original KDs" today arent orignal KD's

the glasses im talking about have the black frames like KDs do, but the lenses are smaller, much smaler, about half the size in height lenswise than KDs.

the lenses would be a bit smaller than these ( the lenses would be around 3/4"-1" tall), but with black plastic frames

Some of the Chopper Sunglasses have that real low height lens style.

Well I just ordered a pair of clear and smoked KDs off of that PC sun link. Hope they feel good. I am not happy with riding glasses so far. Tried the Wally Mart Shooting lenses and while I love them they shake when I ride too much. Those ornage lenses though are my car favs now. Then I ordered the Asos goggles that are interchangeable and they pinch the heck out my head and are far from easily swappable.
Now I am using my ski goggles. I hope these glasses fit better.

KDs fit great and thin sides so they dont hurt but dust and wind come in way too much. You really need leather or robber padding around them. I think since my Ski goggles feel the best I am going to look at Aviator Goggles next.

Wally Shooting glasses= Cheap (thats good) but let in dust and get moved by wind too easily.

Asos 3 lense goggle kit. (fairly Cheap) bad fit. In order to seal they bite in to the side of my head. Also that EASY lense change out is a load. I have nearly broken my thumbs trying to change them out.

KDs great fit but no protection around edges for dust and wind.

Ski Goggles, Not bad but too dark for night riding.

The quest continues...
