Default Harley vs. Grizzly

I would've liked to see the expression on the bikers face just before impact!!

Can you believe a motorcycle killed this HUGE GRIZZLY?

This grizzly was hit by a Harley on LoloPass. This is the pass between Lolo, MT and Kooskia, ID.

LoloPass, elevation 5,233 feet (1,595 m), is a mountain pass in the northern Rocky Mountains on the border between the U.S.states of Montana and Idaho approximately 25 miles (40 km) west-southwest of Missoula, Montana.

It is famous as the location where the Lewis and Clark Expedition crossed the summit of the BitterootRange via the Lolo Trail on their outward and return journeys in 1805–06.
Look at theclaws on that sucker!

The biker spent three days in the hospital! The hog's a wreck!
Lesson learned: Don't go Bear Hunting with a Harley, they don't last but one hunt!!!!!!!!!!

Would be a good story if it was really hit by a guy on a bike! I have seen two stories on this same bear. One says it was killed near Lolo pass in 2007 and one says it was hit near Lincoln Mt. both stories hit by a pickup. All the stories use the same pictures.

Damn! I should have snoped this one out or something like that before passing it on. Mea culpa! Guess that's what happens when I relieve my 3 days of cabin fever with a good ride --- any mention of a Harley and it's all over.

Makes more sense that a pick up did this than a motorcycle. Oh well, tomorrows another riding day, who knows what will turn up.

Yeah......I would say pretty much anything bigger than an elk could survive a Harley strike, and quite a few elk could too.

But don't let that stop you from riding the Lolo! Great ride.

Thats about 1200 lb of bear. I can't imagine the rider living through it if the bike took the bruin out. And they get bigger. Kodiak and Polar will send a Grizzly home with its tail waggin'.

WOW ! That is crazy. And i thought hitting an Owl one night was bad, glad i had a face shield that night, but it certainly would not of helped much hitting a Grizzly bear.
