Knocking a few bucks off to initiate people signing up is ok, but another site where I am a long time member did this a few years back, but offered to the first signees (within a short time span) lifetime enrollment. There they had a huge infusion of membership enrollees, and after the one time offer time limit was met, other members kept joining. Most of the lifetimers were those of us who had already been there for quite a while.

I refuse to get into a subscription (what it really is) which has to be re upped annually.

You all think this is something really cool, so unique, but I see it as another move that takes this site further away from what got us where we are.

I would gladly pay double to reduce the banners and ads from popping up all the time.
