What's the best way to polish your chrome wire wheels ?
I feel like I'm doing this the old school way with a skinny rag, chrome polish and by hand. There must be a better way.

If the wheels arent just horriblly dirty, I just use a good spray on wheel cleaner and a stiff brisel paint brush. Then just hose it off. seems to work pretty good. Heard of people using shoe strings to polish each individual spoke, but that aint gonna be any easier lol.

Quit polishing and start riding and you won't even notice it. These things are not show bikes, nor are they custom anything. It's a motorcycle for god's sake. RIDE the darn thing.

I have friends who use shoe strings and swear that it the best way. Now, one of their bikes is a RK show bike, and I get that. Just not what I consider is a good use of my time, I bought it to ride it. When they get bad I use a spray on wheel cleaner and a brush.

IMHO The best way to keep the spokes clean is regular weekly cleaning, at least in my neck of the woods.
If I let the spokes go, (month without cleaning), they corrode leaving them, and the bike they are attached to looking like a POS. Who likes to ride a bike looking like a POS really?
Cleaning method:
I spray it down with a cleaner and use a micro fibre towel, weaving it in between several spokes in an 'S' shaped pattern. I pull the towel back and forth with 2 hands while pulling it up and down over the spokes. It doesn't take nearly as long as most people think. 20 minutes per wheel if you do it regularly, and your spokes will look spanking new.
Cheers,
Tom

No short cuts that I know of. Keep them clean and polished or they will rust out over time. Some people here could care less but I'm with you and like my ride to look nice.
I put her on my lift and use a chrome polish and then buff it out. Takes about 15-20 minutes for the front a little longer for the rear.

I give the local neighbor kids 10 bucks, some wax and a rag. They sit there and clean them while I tell them stories of the old days. When I am in a hurry, I bore the crap out of them so they get done quicker!!!
