Default California and there new damn law on 21 and younger

So i went to dmv today took written test after passing class and then when i pass the damn thing i get some BS saying is a permit till i am 21.(20 now turn 21 in may)or for 6 months

- No Darkness
- No Freeway
- No Passenger

Whats the damn point then i can't ride to work when i get out late it's dumb.
i wouldn't be surprised if that law goes onto vehicles in the next year or so

That is a BS law. You should start a letter writing campaign to your Congresspeeps.

Yea really!!! People over 70+ (its about a 50/50) gotta be the worst around.... Most of the bad drivers that i've noticed have been old or any age talking/texting on phones...

I do feel for you youngen.. that is a f*cked up law.... You can die for our country but hey if you live in Cali you can't drive your car at nite.... lol... Cali is a great for the eyes but the laws are screwed.... I lived in Nor Cal for 30 yrs. .....

Screw em' and just ride with a full-face helmet. You are not a canary in a cage or coalmine.

Guess your not in Cali to often because if you get caught driven/riden with-out the correct license they can impound your bike/car for 30 days... pricey! Im not in Cali to much anymore either but when i left there that was a law.

Sounds like you haven't completed the testing process.
Did you take a ridden test at the DMV or an MSF class?

In Illinois the written test will only get you a permit, you have to ride the course (or do the MSF class) to get a license. BTW the Illinois permit only allows you to ride in daylight (no passenger) under direct supervision of a licensed rider.
If your under 18 then you have to do the MSF class and ride the course at the DMV. I think they are required to do the DMV written test as well.
