These are some of my old friends and a club called the Black Hawk MC. I did not have a bike at the time. Kind of neat old pic's of how it was though. There are a couple of Sportsters in there, but mostly Triumphs.

Pretty cool. Gotta love the old Triumphs.

I would like to have that Sportster today. I remember well that right side shifter.

Love all the protective gear the jumper is wearing. Hell, they don't make them like that anymore. Too bad we are so safety conscious now.

Thanks for posting; those are some cool shots. Nice condition/color on the pics too; a lot of times older pics have faded from bouncing around all these years

These kinds of pics just make me grin!!

Notice how they have their front fenders and windshields off for fun in the dirt, and then back on for touring to a town about 75 miles away. Some of these guys even did hill climbs on these same bikes. You just rode what you had.

jaysbobber 02-14-2011 05:12 PM

Jim if that is you in the first picture your a F-ing nut!

Jim Kraft 02-14-2011 05:16 PM

Not me Jay. But the guy was a nut. He just retired, bought a new Sportster, and is touring the country. These guys did have fun with a capital F.
