Broke Bike Out
Took bike out yesterday for really the first time since I put Syn 3 in all three holes. Clutch was slipping and not grabbing very well I didn't think. Stopped at auto store today, they had Royal Purple 20w50 High Performance motorcycle oil (noted for wet clutch applications), figured what the hell, and put that in the primary. What a difference! No slippage and the clutch grabs real nice.
Went the extra step and grabbed a quart of Royal Purple Max Gear 75w90 for the tranny, holy crap does it shift smooth now and quiet. What a difference from the Syn 3!

Here we go again.......
Thinking Ur issue was something else than the oil, not a fan of sny 3 but theres a lot of happy users of it.
RP is a good oil but so is a lot of other oils.
Wait till U try MObil 1 V-twin and Mobil GL 75-90...

Yea I know, nothing against Syn 3 at all, but clutch felt different since putting the Syn 3 in. Still have it in the engine and will probably keep it, running nice and at a lower temp than it was!
Went to the auto parts store intending to get Mobil oil. And I happened to see the Royal Purples so figured I'd give them a shot, definetly a difference though. Still want to try Amsoil or Mobil in the future but this will hold me over for now.
Never was real picky about my oils as I am the type that probably changes them too much in all my vehicles, so how bad can they really be. I'm not a guru by far, and I honestly think they've all gotta be pretty good to stay in the market.
When the clutch felt different though I started to wonder, and read some posts that the Syn 3 could cause slippage so that's why I figured I'd try something new, definetly feels better now, so who knows.
