How to clean leather saddlebags... like really trashed bags.

I would have scraped out the thick stuff, but its probably all dried hard by now. Go ahead and power spray it out, water won't hurt it. But do it out on the lawn, away from everything, or you'll be cleaning the splatter off other stuff. We don't have rain gear, we wear our leathers through all kinds of rain, just hang to dry, again: NO HEAT. Cows stand out in the rain all the time, no problems!!! Give is a good rub with quality leather conditioner.

If they were mine....
I'd power wash the hell out of it, let it air dry, and then condition the leather.
or
Hand wash with soapy water and an old toothbrush and larger brush, then wash with water and saddle soap and let dry.
In the future, NEVER underestimate the wrapping of stuff in plastic bags.
Sorry to hear of this, but in all honesty, this kind of stuff happens all the time.
