Default Hey SoCal, does anyone know.....

Of any CA DMV facilities with an open motorcycle test course on their lot?

I have a private client who wants extra practice before taking the course on his own. The one in Culver City not too far from where I live is chained off. He's in Anaheim, so I'm looking for one in LA/OC area.

Thanks.

Mark

There are a few in the San Fernando valley that are open and I know the Pasadena DMV is also accessible.

I know these locations are a little bit out of your way tho

Just tell him to go to a parking lot and ride the tightest skinniest circles that he can. That should do it. Always wondered about riding in a circle to pass a DMV test. If he's worried about it he should rent a small 200 or 250 bike that'll ride circles around anything bigger and take the test with that. It'll need to be a metric though.

If he's that worried, why doesn't he just take the MSF course and skip the DMV test?

He can practice all he wants during their business hours. I used to cruise through mine, run it a few times and just roll on out. If theirs is in a busy spot he could just ask an examiner to make room for a few minutes.

Agree with this fully. Take the course, improve his skills, get a discount on his insurance and if a HOG member, get money back for taking the course.

Can't find the downside in that.
