Typical mileage out of rear brake pads
About to change the rear pads on my FB.
I only have about 6100 miles on the bike and the rear pads are looking awfully thin.
I do tend to use the rear brake more than the front but still surprised to see how much pad has been used.
What is a typical mileage for you guys before changing rear pads?
I will be making an effort to change braking habits thats for sure!

At 16k I did the cams and had the dealer go over her, they replaced the rear pads, after I got her back I looked at the ones they took off,, They were about 50% gone,, still has probably another 7-8k left in them easy...
We just putt on mostly country roads and I really dont even use the rears that much..
Now at 30.300 miles on her I'll be replaceing the first front pads for the 1st time next week and checking the rears again If I can get her in an. Time for another rear tire anyway.

Stock pads lasted as long as the tire. Went to EBC's last time and just changed tire out with just over 7,000 miles on it and checked pads(I had another set ready to go) and were only worn about 1mm from what the new ones were so left them. Alot less brake dust with them also from stockers.

My stock rear pads were shot at 10,000 miles along with the rear tire. I replaced them with Lyndall Gold pads and didn't need to do them again until I hit 55,000 miles.

I changed my rears at 19,000 cause they looked thin. The new stock Harley pads I bought were almost the same thickness. I've got 50,000 on those now and they aren't done yet. I changed my fronts at 50,000 and replaced those with lyndells? Much thicker pads. I use my front brakes about 75% to 25% on the rear in normal riding conditions.
